Junior is finally sitting up on his own. He's even trying to pull himself up into a standing position. Tula has been on her feet for a couple of weeks. Recently she's started to try standing without holding on to anything. Any day now they'll be running around the house. Both are showing all of their front teeth and biting on everything. And both are into the mommy phase - no one but mommy. It would be really cool if I didn't have to go to work. Tula has started to fall asleep on me, which is so warm and fuzzy and nice that I can't not let her do it even though I'm probably setting myself up for trouble. Oh well. Here's some photos and maybe a couple of movies.
Two days ago the twins finally started to 'play' together. They sit across from each other and giggle. I don't know what they're giggling about, but they're having a great time. They also do it in their cribs (instead of sleeping during nap time). So I guess this is the beginning of the 'twins against the rest of the world'.
Also - Tula is finally showing some teeth! The first is the first top left. No way for me to take a picture though, she's just not showing it. Mostly she keeps her thumb in her mouth! Junior is working on his bottom teeth now.
The whole family at work... Tula was all over the place, she was totally interested in everything that was going on. Junior on the other hand didn't really care. So we know who's going to take over the business.
I went in to the twins room to see if they were asleep, they had just been talking and talking, and this is what I saw. Talk about conkign out mid sentance hehe...
Then I went in again when they were getting up, and this is what I saw!! Time to lower that crib, huh!?

This post should have been done about two weeks ago... what are you gonna do, the days just fly by! The twins and I flew to California to give my Mom some hugs and cheer her up a bit before she starts on her treatment. Mom btw is very very brave, keeping her chin up and planning a good fight that she intends to win :) Our flight back home was great, just like the flight to the States. The twins were great sports, flirting with any of the neighboring passengers that would look their way. I was very pleasantly surprised. We all had a great and busy time. The twins got to know Zofia (who informed me that she is no longer a princess, but a "pretty little girl") and Maggie (who kept giving them hugs and kisses). Apropos the "pretty little girl" - Zofia heard me say that and I heard her mumbling under her nose "I am pretty, and I am a little girl, so yeah, I'm a pretty little girl". LOVE IT!! We had lots of visitors, which we loved. One day Connie and Richard and the whole Tauman family came and we talked and played with kids and ate lots and lots of yummy bagels. Then we had a great surprise visit from Akiva! He just drove up to say hello and boy, was I surprised. First of all to see him, and second of all - did you all know he was a model? - I'm sure you did, but I didn't. Kiva - you rock! Then Julia flew in and came over with Shoshi. These wonderful girls gave me a precious 2 hours of sleep when they took upon themselves the care Zofia and Maggie. I was having one of those really bad sleep deprived by babies days. Unfortunately I didn't get to talk to them that much. Thank you guys all for coming and spending some time with us!! We also went to visit Grandma. She had a good couple of hours with us. She was happy to see her great grandchildren and I was happy to see her smile. It was also great to see Denise and Lenny happy :) Agi and I got together with some girlfriends from Harcerstwo (Polish girl scouts) for an evening, where we had a blast reminiscing and singing some polish songs. Plus we got to show off our kids. Boy, the more I write, the more I miss all you guys! I wish it wasn't so far!
This video is brought to you buy no other than Agi, the master of baby film editing... enjoy!
Hi all. We just got back from the States, and two days later we were off to Poznań, a city west of Warsaw, where lots of Jacek's family lives. I haven't even had a chance to write anything about our trip back home, but I figured I would post these pics now and tell you about our trip to the States a bit later. So - we spent the weekend with Jacek's cousin's family (check out the Geni family tree - http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index). They have two great kids, Natalia and Pawel, who took great care of our twins while Jacek and I went to work on Saturday. I had to give a lecture on heart disease and Jacek had some eye exams to perform. Later the rest of Lenka's family came to visit - her parents and her brother with his wife and son (Acik - some of you might know him, he spent a few months in the States at my parents). Then we spent a great evening relaxing with the family and trying to get the twins back on their polish schedule. Lots of help from Natalia, Pawel, Jacek's s sister Ania, and his cousin Lenka and her husband Maciej(all in the pictures here or on Flickr). All in all a great time. Sunday Jacek's sister, the twins and I went to another cousin's baby christening - Junior was dressed just like his Dziodzio in a bow tie and looked very handsom.
